Organize a Workshop

Interested in having a creative writing workshop, book club, or creative study? (Lengths of engagement and honorariums are flexible.)

Genre Workshop (Poetry, Various Fiction Themes, and Memoir / Journal)
I’m available for a variety of styles of workshop, whether it’s in a particular genre (i.e., poetry), or sub-genre (i.e., science fiction). These can be one-day workshops, or longer engagements.

Book Clubs (All Subject Areas Considered)
The book lover in me loves to read, and the teacher in me loves leading a thought-provoking discussion. I’m happy to host one or on-going book clubs in a variety of themes or genres.

Theme-Focused or Author-Focused Creative Study
Wheter you’re interested in learning more about a particular author and how they contributed to their genre of writing, or if you want to learn more about business writing, or if you want to learn more about the craft side of the workshop, I’d be happy to host one or more lessons on the subject.

Teacher Available

I’m currently available to teach English, Creative Writing, Literature, Literary Criticism, or Composition. (I can teach throughout Chicagoland and Northern Illinois, or online.)

Since 2008, I’ve worked in classrooms as a teacher, peer mentor, co-teacher, and teacher’s assistant.

I’ve been a peer mentor in Psychology, Education, and Composition courses; and I’ve been a Teacher’s Assistant and Co-Teacher in all subject areas, Kindergarten through 8th grade, for a minimum of one academic year.

As a solo teacher, I have more than eight years of experience in English, Creative Writing, and Composition classrooms, in grades 5 through 12, AP classrooms, and college-level courses.
