Happy Sunday, friends! I hope you’re having an amazing weekend.
A few minutes ago on Medium, I shared the news that I’ll be participating in this year’s BYOB (Blog Your Own Book), hosted by Shaunta Grimes. The point is to blog every day throughout the month of August; then in September, you edit those blog posts and form them into a cohesive book; and then in October, you publish it!
Since I’ve been in Croatia for a year and a half, I have some serious thoughts about being a traveling freelancer (or digital nomad, depending on the term you like to use best), as well as family heritage and choosing our families.
So I’ll be writing TWO books, starting in August, about these subjects: one with specific advice about being a digital nomad and giving back to the communities that you join, and another about choosing family and culture when you have little to no access to your own ancestry.
You can see the full blog post here (click the image):
If you’re interested in following along, I’ll be posting twice a day in August (once per book topic). I think I will need longer than a month to write the chosen family book, but I plan to follow the BYOB schedule for the digital nomad book. So if freelancing and traveling are of interest to you, there will be a great resource available to you in October, or sooner.
You can find my Medium profile here, and if you set up a Medium account (it’s free!), you can subscribe to my content. That way, if you want to follow along, the posts can be delivered straight to your Inbox (and of course, you can unsubscribe or close your account at any time, at the click of a button).
I hope you have a wonderful week ahead of you.
