Hi friends! Happy Friday! I hope you’ve had a wonderful week!
It’s been almost two weeks since my last post. Last week was quite the week, and I did very little writing. This week has been all about catching up and getting back in the rhythm, so again, very little writing—more than last week, but again, not a lot.
I’m grateful to be back, though. I’ve been taking ideas down for new essays, plan to review a few horror films, have been keeping up on news trends, and I’ve written lines for quite a few different poems. So the wheels are turning, and the heart is ready; I just have to get back into full-swing.
Does anyone else ever feel that way about their writing? Their other craft(s)? Trying to juggle it all?
Fortunately, I can see next week being a good time. I’m tentatively planning six days in a row of fall and Halloween fun with my kids, all of which I see being tinged with inspiration! Plus, it’s fall, and it’s fun, and it’s when I feel most alive, so—why not write?
PLUS, we need to talk about NaNoWriMo more soon! I have a novel prepped to go, I’m ready to go all the way, and I would really love to help a few other aspiring writers (or first-time novelists) do the same.
In the meantime, I’m getting back to my weekly round-ups, for anyone looking for some quick weekend reads, or for those who may be interested in what I’m working on.
